Necha is located in Solukhumbu district, south of the Mt Everest. In the past, healthcare was only available at health-offices located at a distance of several days of walking. Even there the healthcare was limited.
That situation made the Asian Heritage Foundation Nepal decide to start a small healthcare-post two years ago in Necha. At present, they are going to expand these activities so better care can be provided. Unica Foundation supports this expension by realizing an energy source on solar-energy. This solar-system makes it possible to use the medical equipment which are necessary to improve the quality of the provided healthcare.
