The Saimarang VDC will be the 5th location where the Improved Cooking Stoves will be implemented in cooperation with the Nepal Red Cross Society, this time a total of 138 pieces!. The community is responsible for transportation and construction of the ovens, this they do under the supervision of the Nepal Red Cross. Unica Foundation provides help by giving technical support and additionally a partly financial support. A little bit less than half of the project costs will be covered by the community and the Nepali Government through AEPC.
The ovens transport the smoke out the houses and the fire will be separated from it’s surrounding. This will result into a more healthy and safe place to live.
