Solar system for health post

Sermathang is a tourist spot near Helambu at 2,700 m above sea level. Even though many trekkers from Langtang pass through the village every year, its residents lack many basic health facilities. Heal-Nepal, a Nepali NGO, is now constructing a clinic with the support of a Dutch charity, Stichting Holland Building Nepal. Unica has agreed to donate a solar PV system to supply its basic power needs. The clinic will cater for around five villages in the surrounding district providing support to 1,500 patients a year.
