On Thursday, September 13, the fifth edition of the Welloop will take place in Hoevelaken. During this event for the Unica Foundation, the participants run as many rounds of about 900 meters in an hour as possible to raise money for the Unica Foundation. The ten-year anniversary of the Unica Foundation is also celebrated. Initiator Unica invites everyone to register as a runner, sponsor or supporter to provide the village of Hamsapur (Nepal) with drinking water and sanitary facilities.
The Welloop is held at business park De Wel in Hoevelaken. People will be welcomed from 4.30 PM and at 5.30 PM the participants start with the sponsor run. A buffet is prepared after the run. A playful prize is available for the best rider and for the best team.

Nepal
The Unica Foundation supports aid projects in Nepal by sharing knowledge and expertise in the field of (sustainable) technology in a structural and sustainable way with the local population. In Nepal it often lacks basic necessities such as a toilet or a tap. Also for the inhabitants of the village of Hamsapur, drinking water and sanitation are not natural; a half-day walk for water is not exceptional. With the Welloop, the Unica Foundation wants to raise money to build a drinking water supply in close cooperation with the Nepalese Red Cross Society and to provide education to the local population in the areas of hygiene and income generation. This will help the more than 450 people in the village and thousands more people in the vicinity of Hamsapur to build a better and lasting existence. The lives of these inhabitants will change drastically through these facilities. In addition to improving health, residents also have more time for activities with which they can generate income, such as growing vegetables and keeping goats or bees.
Ten years of Unica Foundation
The Unica Foundation also celebrates its 10th anniversary during the Welloop, where a special edition of a book about the projects in Nepal will be presented. The foundation was founded ten years ago by Unica and is aimed at providing technical support to development organizations for basic necessities in Nepal. The Unica Foundation has now helped nearly 75,000 Nepalis with running water, solar systems, wood stoves and flue pipes. The foundation can only carry out these projects thanks to donations from socially involved companies and citizens.
