AFPRO Filters has committed itself to the partner program of the Unica Foundation at the start of this year. The classic Dutch company which was founded in Alkmaar, is now active worldwide and has acquired a leading role in the international air filtration market. AFPRO Filters has devoted itself as a golden partner to the Unica Foundation for three years, supporting the activities of the foundation in Nepal.
AFPRO Filters started in 1979 with trading air filters under the name ACS Filtertechniek. Initially, products were purchased and traded when ordered, but after a few years the step to self-production was made. In the 40 years of its existence, the company has grown into an experienced and expert partner in the field of air filtration, with offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, China, Poland, Finland and Australia and an extensive international dealer network.
The mission of the company is to achieve a healthy living environment through clean air by using AFPRO Filters. The support of the Unica Foundation matches perfectly with the aforementioned objectives. “Clean air is of vital importance. We believe that sustainable technology, wherever in the world, contributes to realizing and achieving this goal. Our support of the Unica Foundation is therefore an appropriate way for us to make a contribution in Nepal “, says Ron Prins, Sales Director at AFPRO Filters.
The Unica Foundation uses the contribution of AFPRO Filters, amongst others, for a project in the Bhadaure Deurali community in Nepal. At the community, improved cooking stoves were realized for more than 160 households to significantly reduce indoor smoke pollution and healthcare dangers. “With the contribution of AFPRO Filters we have been able to make a welcome connection between the mission of the company and the activities of the Unica Foundation. Therefore, this partnership shows to be a great example of an excellent link between the business community and the social objectives of our foundation”, says Edwin Koers, Chairman of the steering committee which is responsible of the fundraising for the Unica Foundation.
