For the sixth consecutive year, the Unica Foundation organizes a sponsor run to raise money for technical development projects in Nepal. The annual “Welloop”, named after the street of the same name in Hoevelaken, will be held on Thursday 12 September 2019. The participants walk as many laps of around 900 meters as possible in one hour to raise money for charity. Initiator Unica invites everyone to register as a runner, sponsor or supporter of the event.
Everyone can participate in the Welloop on Thursday 12 September. Participation is possible both individually and as a team, whereby it is also possible to run in relay. Individual participants pay € 22.50 in registration costs, for (business) teams of up to 5 people a contribution of € 250 is requested. The walk-in starts at 16.30 and the start of the sponsor run is at 17.30. Afterwards, all participants can enjoy a tasty buffet. For more information and registration, go to www.welloop.nl.
Nepal
The Welloop is a sponsor run of which part of the registration costs and all sponsor contributions go to the activities of the Unica Foundation in Nepal. The Unica Foundation supports technical development projects in Nepal by sharing knowledge and skills in the field of (sustainable) technology with the local population. The contributions raised from the 2019 edition of the Welloop will be donated in particular to the project in Ramkot, which supplies 335 households and 2,000 inhabitants with water supplies and toilets. This is the largest project that the Unica Foundation has started in its 12-year existence.
Sponsors
Runners who come into action during the Welloop can be sponsored individually or as a team for their participation. To raise donations, they can create a personal sponsor page after registration. Individuals and companies can donate a contribution via www.welloop.nl, whereby they can sponsor a specific runner or a specific team. It is also possible for companies to purchase a sponsor package, in which the activities of the Unica Foundation are fully supported. There are various sponsor packages (bronze, silver, gold), starting with a contribution from € 1,500. All sponsors of the Unica Foundation have access to an exclusive VIP meeting, which is organized during the Welloop.
