Remeha has committed itself to the Unica Foundation as a golden partner. The well-known company from Apeldoorn, active in the field of indoor climate solutions, will help realize sustainable development and support projects of the charity foundation in Nepal in the coming years.
At the beginning of this year, Mark Vellinga, Commercial Director of the Sales Unit Netherlands at Remeha and Edwin Koers, working at Unica and responsible for the charity support group, signed the partnership that Remeha is entering into with the Unica Foundation. The Unica Foundation organizes and supports technical projects in Nepal by sharing knowledge and expertise in the field of (sustainable) technology with the local population in a structural and sustainable way. The foundation has already realized more than 60 projects in Nepal and has helped more than 40,000 people. Remeha is actively focused on sustainable solutions for climate facilities and is making strong developments in the field of heat pumps and the application of hydrogen as an energy carrier. With these solutions, several routes are possible to supply buildings with heat and hot water in a sustainable manner.
Gold Partnership
Mark Vellinga indicates that Remeha and her employees are enthusiastic to support the Unica Foundation: “The Unica Foundation also makes our golden partnership personal, because our contribution is focussed at a specific project with improved cooking stove appliances. By using these stoves, fewer trees are felled and people stay healthy because they no longer cook on an open fire in their hut. This greatly reduces eye and lung diseases. Because this project is also specifically supported by Remeha, we can also specifically inform our employees about this and involve them in this goal.”
With the support of Remeha, the number of partners of the Unica Foundation is growing steadily. Edwin Koers is pleased with this development: “It is great to see that other companies confirm the good work of the Unica Foundation by participating and making more activities possible. With this we can continue to realize projects in the longer term and help the population to get out of poverty.”
