In 2009 we started in cooperation with our partner organization CWSN a solar engineering course for young technicians. During this so called “level 1” course, the students received basic information concerning electrification by solar energy. In 2010 the first 12 students passed their exams with positive results, also the course received national as well international recognition. Based on those great results we decided to continue this success.
A level 2 course will be conducted from 2011 onwards. First the teachers will be trained prior to starting the classes. The level 2 course concerns engineering and maintenance of solar-systems. Having both courses combined in the curriculum of their education, we have been able to expand the job opportunities for the young students involved.
