ICS for mountain village Tangting

As a follow-up of the water and sanitation project in Tangting, Nepal, we recently started the construction of 206 metal ovens in this village. These metal ovens are being carried by the local community for around six hours from the nearest road. After arrival trained members of the community will assemble them.

The benefit of the metal construction is that less heat will disappear compared to the clay-ovens, on this high altitude it is necessary to keep de room warm. Another benefit is that there is a possibility to heat up water which improves the hygiene situation.
