Nijburg Industry Group has joined the Unica Foundation as a sponsor. The internationally active company, with for example Solid Air in its company portfolio, is involved in the realization of air and climate technology in buildings. For the next three years, Nijburg Industry Group will support the Unica Foundation as a bronze partner in its activities in Nepal.
For Nijburg Industry Group, the partnership with the Unica Foundation is not the first social support across the border. The group of companies has been committed to the Florentina Foundation in Tanzania for years. This non-profit organization contributes to the medical and educational development of children and parents in various African developing countries. In addition to a regular donation, several people from the Nijburg Industry Group have been actively involved in construction projects in Tanzania.
School community
Director Jan Nijburg has already visited the projects in Africa eight times. “We started with a small school that has been expanded into a school community with 17 buildings. These kinds of initiatives are very dear to me,” he says. With the support the Nijburg Industry Group wants to achieve that concrete initiatives are developed that make the conditions of the inhabitants of developing countries better. This fits in seamlessly with the objectives of the Unica Foundation. “This foundation is also a good example of this. The Unica Foundation shows that you achieve a lot with a practical approach and we wholeheartedly support that. When we were asked to become a partner, I didn’t have to think about it for half a day.”
Affected partner
The Unica Foundation is of course happy with the support of Nijburg Industry Group and the commitment that is being shown. “In addition to financial support, we can undoubtedly also learn a lot from Jan Nijburg and his involved employees about supporting projects in poor countries. We are extremely pleased that we are adding a committed partner to our sponsor program with Nijburg Industry Group,” says Edwin Koers on behalf of the Unica Foundation.
