Datacenter specialist Rexcom has joined the Unica Foundation’s partner program this fall. The wholesaler of datacenter components has committed itself as a golden partner to support the activities of the foundation. The partnership was confirmed during the Welloop, the annual relay race held in September.
“As an organization we do not want to miss an opportunity to contribute in a responsible way to the social community, the well-being of our employees and the environment,” says Jaap Hop, director / owner of Rexcom. As one of the preferred partners of Unica Datacenters, the activities of the Unica Foundation came to the attention of the company. “It appeals to us that the projects of the Unica Foundation are all focused on the health of the local population and improving the standard of living of the Nepalese people. Moreover, they deliver sustainable solutions that use natural resources such as the sun and the laws of gravity.”
Long-term philosophy
According to Jaap, the fact that the Unica Foundation has been active with its activities in Nepal for more than ten years is a reassuring thought. “The underlying philosophy of the foundation is that the local population is given the knowledge and tools to be able to determine their own prosperity, health and future independently and for the long term. We endorse this length of time, the education and of course the technical aspects of the projects,” he explains.
To endorse the long-term philosophy, Rexcom has committed itself to the Unica Foundation as a golden partner for three years. During the Welloop the brand new collaboration was signed. “From the first contacts, Rexcom has shown a great deal of interest in the activities of our foundation. They were immediately present at our annual event, where, party thanks to their contribution, we raised a wonderful financial contribution for the Unica Foundation. We are naturally very happy with partners like Rexcom, who help us to carry out the technical assistance projects that we provide in Nepal for a long period of time,” says Edwin Koers on behalf of the Unica Foundation.
